Bachelorette Pool Party | Inspiration for a Last Splash for the Bride to Be!

Pink flamingo float anyone? Inspiration and details for decorations, theme, food, and party supplies to throw a memorable last splash pool party for the bride to be!

The bride’s closest friends are together ready to celebrate the beautiful bride to be, the wedding is just around the corner, and it’s finally time to throw your sister the bachelorette party she’s been dreaming of! In true Sarah fashion I created an inspiration mood board for my sister’s bachelorette party on pinterest and we ended up going with a Vintage Malibu Barbie Vibe complete with decor filled with lots of pink and a gorgeous pool as the venue.

I was able to include some affiliate links to the items I purchased and used for the party, I do receive a small  commission if you shop through my links.

***Party Planning Tip: I always create mood boards on pinterest, these include color pallets, vibes, and the overall vibe and theme of the party (along with some practical inspiration for decor!) You can see my mood board for the party here: Malibu Barbie Babes

Decorations

I wanted the decorations to reflect a fun and flirty environment with an overall vintage pool party vibe.  I completed this by incorporating lots of pink and pops of gold, fun summery floral arrangements, and vintage inspired pink and white striped beach towels to help set the scene at the pool.  I also incorporated two summery floral and palm tree arrangements that I put together from Homegoods and Micheals.

Balloons

Balloon Garland: I knew I wanted to incorporate a balloon garland into the party.  I love the way this one turned out and it was actually SO easy to put together.  My best tip for blowing up a large number of (non-helium) balloons is to invest in THIS machine! It was the best $20 I’ve ever spent and it definitely saved us time (and our lungs!)

Helium Balloon: I ordered six large letter balloons from Party City to spell CHEERS.  I displayed them in a slight arch form behind the pool to complete the look of the space at the (gorgeous!) private pool we were at!

Bar Cart

The bar cart was a great way to pull in a few details and incorporate the theme.  I started with the balloon garland on half of the bar cart and topped the cart with a letter board sign, bright pink flowers, and a few party favors for the guests! The bar cart also housed the speaker since it was right next to the pool.

Accessories

Pink heart sunglasses: I knew right away when I was planning this party that we all needed this vintage Barbie pink heart sunglasses! I ordered a pair for all the guests and a white pair that said “bride” for our bride!

Cabana Beach towels: These were PERFECT to help complete that vintage Malibu vibe I was going for! These towels reminded me of the Beverly Hills Hotel and they doubled as practical use for all of the guests! Another towel options from Amazon are linked HERE!

Polaroid Camera: I gave the bride a polaroid camera to capture fun photos with her friends throughout the day! We plan on putting all of these photos together in a collage and framing it as a fun memory of the day!

Bride Swimsuit: I snagged this swimsuit for the bride to wear during the party. She looked so stinking cute and we love the gold lettering against the white suit

Pool Floats

I wanted to make sure that everyone was comfortable in the pool as I knew it was going to be HOT! I ordered about 8 pink pool noodles as well as a few rafts and pool floaties for everyone to enjoy.  The flamingo float was where our queen lounged ALL afternoon and it was absolutely perfect! A few other favorites was the pink heart (this thing was SO comfortable!) and the giant diamond ring float!

Food & Drink

Adult Juice Boxes: I custom ordered these juice boxes to sip our drinks in during the day! They were such a hit and so cute! I ended up ordering a few extra straws here

Cooler: In a large cooler I kept cans of rose and white wine along with lots of water and gatorade to keep everyone hydrated

Food: For lunch I catered in Panera Bread sandwiches and our favorite chicken strawberry poppyseed salad.  Other snacks included: chips, salsa, guacamole, veggie trap, pita chips, and spinach artichoke dip!
